trust us
ISO 19011:2018 establishes the principles and guidelines for conducting effective audits of various management systems, such as quality, environment, occupational health and safety, among others. This standard provides a systematic and structured approach to planning, conducting, documenting and communicating audits, with the aim of assessing whether management systems meet established requirements and providing opportunities for improvement.
“The auditor’s job is not only to verify, but also to inspire confidence in the public and shareholders”
Arthur Levitt Jr.
Goals
Methodology
Online Phase: 4 hours are completed through online independent study. Students must read and become familiar with the material before attending the in-person session. Online sessions contain online presentations summarizing the subject matter. 100% of the modules must be viewed by the student to be accepted into the on-site portion. Concepts learned during this phase will be reviewed and assessed in the on-site phase.
Distance learning phase: 12 hours (1.5 days) of online sessions with the instructor to review the concepts learned online and participate in simulation workshops in order to apply ISO 19011 guidelines to real cases and audit scenarios. Our methodology is practical and based on the analysis of real cases that allow the participant to obtain an adequate balance of theory and practice, facilitating learning and performance.
This program includes support materials, access to online audit software tools, case studies, and interactive workshops that help students achieve learning objectives.
Duration:
This course is 16 hours long = 4 hours of independent online learning + 12 hours of instructor-led workshops.
Prerequisites
To attend these programs, participants must have completed the online Foundation Course for the management system standard on which the training is based.
Before attending the program, participants must obtain their own official copy of the ISO standards through their national standards body or by visiting www.iso.ch.
Note 1: Fundamentals courses are not within the scope of ANSI accreditation.
Note 2: The standard may be consulted by the student during the final exam. This must be a clean copy of the standards applied to the program, for this reason, it must not have any annotations regarding its content.
Requirements
Important:
a) Students who fail the performance assessment (item 5) will not be allowed to take the written exam.
b) Students who fail the written exam will be allowed to retake it for a fee (contact us for rates in your region). Logistics for retaking the exam will be handled by contacting the QSI Academy Coordinator at training@qsiamerica.com
Program achievements
Use of the certificate:
The certificate resulting from this program is an attestation that the participant has acquired the knowledge and skills listed in the learning objectives, demonstrated during the program, and can be used by the participants’ employer and/or certification bodies as the training element necessary to determine competence.
New certificates:
There are three circumstances in which the student can request the issuance of a new training certificate as an ISO Management Systems Auditor.
1. The ISO 19011 Auditing Guidelines change. In such cases, depending on the nature of the changes made to ISO 19011, the learner may need to retake the relevant online sessions and successfully complete the corresponding workshops.
2. The student wishes to extend the scope of their certificate to cover a different management system standard.
If they would now like a new certificate in a different area, such as environmental management, the student would need to complete the following sessions:
a) Document review workshop based on the additional standard
b) Audit checklist workshop based on the additional standard
c) Audit investigation workshop based on the additional standard
d) Audit findings workshop based on the additional standard
(In addition to the prerequisites for the Foundations course based on the new or updated standard)
3. The management system standard has changed.
For example, if the student originally took the program with an ISO 9001:2008 version and the standard was republished with significant changes (i.e. ISO 9001 version 2015), the student would need to complete the following sessions:
a) Document Review Workshop based on the modified standard.
b) Audit Verification Workshop based on the modified standard.
c) Audit Investigation Workshop based on the modified standard.
d) Audit Findings Workshop based on the modified standard.
(In addition to the prerequisites for the Modified Standards-Based Foundations course.)
